A Taste of the Farm Open House at the Local Food Hub
Join CSG and our great friends at the Local Food Hub for a day of farm tours, plant sales (get those seedlings for your garden!), and fun kids activities at the Food Hub’s educational farm in Scottsville. Saturday, May 11, 10am – 3pm Rain or Shine! For more information, check out the Food Hub’s website.


Garden Tuesdays at Petit Pois
City Schoolyard Garden is so excited to partner with Petit Pois Restaurant in Charlottesville for Garden Tuesdays. On Tuesdays starting on May 7th, Petit Pois will donate $1 per dinner purchase and $.50 per lunch purchase to CSG to help support our programs. Long committed to featuring fresh, local produce on their menu, Petit Pois is a wonderful and generous partner for CSG. Come on out on Tuesdays for a delicious lunch or dinner and support CSG as the same time!

Elementary School Volunteer Workdays
Parents and teachers at our elementary schools are busy finishing garden construction and readying the spring garden for students to take on. Join us for volunteer workdays to assist with fence building, bed preparation, and general garden maintenance. 

Saturday, May 18, 10am – 1pm, Garden Workday at Greenbrier Elementary School.
